Unmeasurable fun at the Woods County fair!
Article from: Kelsey Martin, Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Woods County Fair is always a fun time! BancCentral mans a booth for three days where attendees are able to sign up for drawings and take promotional items that are handed out. This year, the Merchants building was completely full of vendor booths. It was a great turnout. BancCentral had numerous drawings for different days and also gave away cubed yard sticks. They were a hit at the fair – all generations loved them.
Outside of the buildings, there were many activities for the kids. There was face painting, rock wall climbing, and inflatable bounce houses. Alva also has a square dance club and they performed for the crowd.
Not only are there numerous vendors and outside activities, there are also plenty of children showing in the arena. The dedication that the children give to their animals is incredible. The want to win and they want their animal to have the best showing.
On Saturday morning of the fair, Alva Fire Department hosts an event called Mudslinger. BancCentral is a sponsor of this event. Mudding vehicles in Northwest Oklahoma and South Central Kansas have the chance to race their vehicles through the mud pit for bragging rights and monetary winnings.
The fair is a family friendly event with several things to do for the whole family!
